Charity Registration Online Renewal System
The Charity Registration Online Renewal System may only be used by Charity Registrants in Current status with the Registry of Charitable Trusts to submit annual renewal data and supporting documentation in lieu of mailing Form RRF-1 and supporting documentation. To verify your organization’s status, use the Registry Search Tool. Organizations with Delinquent status must complete and file Form RRF-1 via U.S. mail and submit any other delinquent forms to the Registry. To cure delinquencies, please see Curing Delinquencies on our FAQ page. Form RRF-1 and instructions are located on the Forms page of our Website.

This system may not be used for initial Charity, Raffle nor Fundraising Professional Registrations nor to satisfy the renewal or reporting requirements of Raffle Registrants or Fundraising Professionals. Raffle Registrants and Fundraising Professionals must register, renew and report by U.S. mail. All forms and instructions are available on the Forms page.

To create or reset a User ID and Password, Charity Registrants must request a ‘Renewal ID’ from the Registry. To acquire a Renewal ID, please e-mail us your organization Name and at least one of these: (a) State Charity Registration Number, (b) FEIN, and/or (c) SOS Corporate Number to RCT_Online_Renewals@doj.ca.gov. Once you have acquired a Renewal ID, click on Create/Reset User ID in the Menu on the left.

Fees for online renewals must also be paid online via checking account (ACH/eCheck). Renewals that require a fee will be considered incomplete without online payment.

Once an account is established, organizations may update their registration (mailing) address as part of their annual renewal submission or separately. For subsequent renewals, there is no need to request a new Renewal ID unless the User ID and/or Password have been forgotten.

Submissions made through this system are not automatically approved. They are put in queue for an analyst to review. Organizations are encouraged to use the Registry Search Tool to monitor for updates and the posting of any letters sent by the Registry to the organization.

The Online Registration Renewal System is compatible with Internet Explorer, Firefox and Chrome browsers.
Once logged in, DO NOT USE your browser's "BACK" or "FORWARD" buttons!
Doing so can corrupt your session and data. Once logged in, use the navigation buttons located near the bottom of each page (e.g. “Next”, “Edit”, “Update”, “Confirm and Submit”) to advance to the next page. To go back to a previous page to make a correction, use only the links in the Menu located on the upper left side of each page.
